Maks and Karina are an experience. They’re not two quiet photographers, who show up and then leave the second your time is up. This is a couple who very clearly has a passion for what they do, who are in love with their job, and who make you feel like you’re hanging out with old friends while you’re taking photos. My husband was worried that he didn’t know how to pose or that he would feel awkward but a couple minutes into it we were all laughing, making jokes and truly loving every second of our photo shoot. Maks and Karina made things feel and look so effortless and so organic. They let us be us with helpful tips and advice but never too posed so we didn’t feel forced. On our wedding day, I had all sorts of nerves. They stepped in and helped with literally anything and everything they could. My biggest advice for anyone look for their photographer is (hire Karina and Maks, duh) make sure your photographers are passionate about what they do, because there’s a difference between those who are genuinely excited and those who show up to another day of work. My husband and I loved our beautiful photos, they captured all of the emotions of our day, and it’s incredible to get to relive and remembered all the feelings through these timeless photos. We cannot recommend them enough for any occasion

My husband Levi and I were referred to Karina & Maks Instagram by a friend and immediately fell in love with their work! We had to have them, so we booked asap. We were a little nervous having never met them because we weren't sure how comfortable we would be with total strangers taking our photos (I hate having my photo taken), but they immediately felt like friends. They have such a laid back, comforting quality about them that it makes what can be a very awkward experience, such an enjoyable one. All of their photos are so unique to each couple and truely capture the connection between them . They made every part of our journey from the engagement photos to the day of the wedding so special. My husband and I are still trying to make up reasons to have more photos done.
They also helped bring order to the chaos that was my wedding day. When it rained during my outdoor wedding they were able to find creative ways to get beautiful photos, and they helped me stay calm in a fairly stressful situation. I am forever grateful for these two!

Countless times they have blown us away, from our engagement, wedding, and honeymoon in Bali.They turned our special memories into pieces of art. From the very first email, to our skype date discussions over our love story and our dreams - we felt very comfortable and connected with Karina and Maks right away. The communication was very simple, direct and open. We were so excited to get American wedding photographers from Oregon, Portland to our European Barn Wedding - and we couldn‘t wait to meet our photographers in person. On the wedding day, Karina‘s profesionalism and Mak‘s eyes for different angles and small details were on point and I couldn‘t have imagined it any other way. Everything was perfect. The After Wedding Shooting at an austrian lake the next day was simply magical and a dream come true. At the end we even went into the water and the boys jumped into the lake a couple times. They were also as adventurous as we are and we simply loved working with them. We got so many pictures, the moments were special, the editing was colorful and alive and we cried a little with every picture. Even today, after almost a year later, I still look at the pictures regularly and cry a little and remember our most beautiful day of our lives - and are so grateful for having such good photographers for our wedding day. We are so happy we chose Karina and Maks and would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone. Romance, profesionalism and incredible pictures is what you will get!

Karina and Maks are the type of people that once you meet them, the imprint they leave with you is not something that is easily explained in words. Which is why no matter what I write, this review will not do them justice and you should just BOOK THEM for any of your photography needs and see for yourself. Seriously, I am not kidding. It's the best advice/recommendation I can give. Photography means so many different things to so many people, and Karina + Maks have an uncanny way of capturing your story behind a camera that will leave you completely speechless. Which is great, because then your photos can literally tell your story for you and believe me, they do exactly that!These two gems are genuine, hilarious, so KIND, they make it ridiculously easy to be at ease with them, they find what truly makes you smile/laugh/light up and all the while this is happening... they are photographing you. So where do I begin even, when I got engaged I was looking for a photographer who didnt take the typical staged and posed photos, I wanted someone who would capture those indescribable, in the moment photos, and that’s exactly what we got from Karina and Maks. They photographed every detail possible, and captured the whole essence of our wedding. Honestly when I got our photos back from them, I couldn’t believe how perfect each and every picture was, not that ‘looking into the camera smiling perfect’ but they captured those perfect ‘laughing outrageously, tearing up, emotional, joyous’ moments that made our wedding day so special! Karina & Maks made our wedding day go so smoothly! HANDS DOWN THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHERS! When I got engaged, I knew I HAD to have Karina & Maks shoot our wedding. It did not take long to convince my husband. I just showed him their Instagram page and he was all for it! Our experience with them was nothing short of amazing. They were so easy going and understanding. From the moment when they landed in PHX, they already had places in mind that they were going to scout out for photos. They came prepared and I knew that we were in good hands. They shot the wedding and although we didn't have a lot of details, they made it look like we spent days planning it. They caught moments that I didn't even see the day of. The whole day it felt like we were best friends because they were so chill and easy going. One of my favorite parts was that they sent pictures every few days after the wedding to give us a glimpse before they finish editing all of them. And when they all came after editing, it was delivered in the cutest way ever! We love Karina & Maks! Can't wait to shoot with them again soon!

Karina & Max are such amazing photographers. We met them over 5 years ago when they took our wedding photos. I am so thankful for the memories that they have captured for us over the years. What I love about them is how at ease they make you feel during your session. Every photo we have received back from them has left me amazed. Not only are they constantly evolving but there work continues to keep me coming back for more! We felt like we were on a double date with our old friends, just taking pictures for fun! Chris and I drove home afterward missing our conversations and wanting to take more pictures just so we can spend more time with them. Karina sent few pictures as a ‘preview’ within the week and I was just amazed. I was so amazed not only because they were able to photograph us so beautifully, but because they were able to capture the love Chris and I have for each other through the lenses of their camera. The best part of their work was the way they let the location and nature speak the mood of the picture. Chris and I met with several photographers in LA before finding Karina and Maks and they all were big fan of ‘editing’ to make us look good. Chris and I didn’t need to ‘look good’ or ‘look skinny’ in our engagement pictures. We wanted the pictures to speak our love for one another and the excitement we have for our future together. Karina and Maks did that and more.

They're the type of photographers that you want at your wedding. It's hard hiring strangers and letting them in on special moments. But nope, not my photographers. My wedding guests kept asking "who are your friends with the cameras??" Because they fit right in and didn't skip a beat! And in terms of actual pictures. We got back a huge selection of photos, from all moments of the evening. Karina & Maks utilized the sun, the sunset and the dusk lighting, showing how the party lasted for hours. The quality of the pictures made my wedding look like a 5 star affair. I have referred them to a couple of friends, and both friends were also thrilled with the outcome of their photos! I am basically just waiting for another opportunity to work with them.
